A recap of our 2025 Yoga Holidays in Fiji, Bali & Italy

This year has been nothing short of magical. We organised three overseas retreats – in Fiji, Bali, and Italy – all hosted by our founder, Sab. Designed to be intimate, restorative, and memorable, our small group getaways became more than just retreats. They became stories we’ll carry with us forever, stitched together by shared laughter (So. Much. Laughter.), long lunches and free-flowing conversations that were more real than our perimenopausal symptoms.

Besides a daily dose of movement and meditation, we soaked up moments of pure connection, rest & relaxation, culinary adventures, and a cheeky splash of indulgence on the side.

Fiji Yoga Retreat: Ocean Bliss & Island Calm at Toberua Island Resort

The first international stop was our Yoga & Pilates Retreat in Fiji, where the slow pace of life and turquoise waters literally carried our worries away. This may sound corny, but once you’ve experienced the magic of slow island living, you get it.

Our home for the week was Toberua Private Island Resort, and as it was nothing short of spectacular, we’re already planning our next Fiji Retreat here. Mornings began slowly, with beach-side Yoga or Pilates, followed by a well-earned breakfast. Spare time was spent swimming, SUP-ing, or swinging in the hammock with the latest novel.

We had lingering lunches with fresh tropical meals and a cheeky Fiji Gold, as we watched the eb and flow of the waves. Some days there were massages, on others we visited a local village or made our way around the island in a kayak.

With a sunset cocktail in hand, post-Yin class glow (of course), evenings were a gentle reminder of the power of genuine connections. Toberua’s dinner nights were legendary, matched by the staff who made the experience extra special. And yes, there may have been some dancing too as the local band was just what the doctor ordered.

Our Fiji Yoga & Pilates Retreat was the perfect example of the importance of allowing oneself to simply be. With nowhere to go (literally, we were on a tiny island), and nothing to do (unless you wanted to ), it was ever so calming to listen to the sound of the ocean and feel the rhythm of our breath, in harmony with the waves.

North Bali Retreat: Greenery & Epic Views at Sumberkima Hill

In July we journeyed to Bali, which was the first stop in a 7-week travel adventure that would ultimately end with our Italy retreat. Whereas our previous Bali retreats took place near Uluwatu, we chose a more remote location for 2025. And so we ventured to the North of ‘The Island of Gods’ to a special place called Sumberkima Hill. The longer drive paid off, and the view and location were totally worth it.

Our Bali Yoga & Pilates Retreat at Sumberkima Hill offered the perfect balance – energising morning sessions paired with poolside relaxation, and healthy breakfast juices complemented by evening cocktails. On top of that, guests indulged in divine massages and soothing meditations, and a body scan Yoga Nidra practice for the ultimate deep rest.

We practiced Yoga and Pilates with some of the best views we’ve ever had, soaked up the sun as well as several Bintangs. Lunchtime laughter made space for deeper conversations that stretched into the night, and we savoured colourful meals that were both nourishing and bloody delicious – all whilst admiring stunning sunsets.

Finally, our time in Bali was a gentle reminder that true Yoga begins within. Even in rural villages – just like in the bustling towns – life is never silent. Roosters crow, prayers echo, sounds carry. Rather than distractions, these became invitations to turn inward: to sit with the noise, to soften into presence, and to return, always, to the breath.

That’s where the real practice begins. When you can calm your own mind, everything else falls away.

Italy Retreat: Olive Oil & Feasts Under the Tuscan Sun at Maraviglia

We wrapped up the year in Italy, where rolling vineyards quite literally set the scene. At our Tuscany Food & Wine Retreat, we feasted on homegrown & home-cooked meals that were finger-licking delicious, we savoured local wines, and spent leisurely afternoons at Maraviglia’s beautiful grounds.

Each day began with a leisurely sleep in, followed by Vinyasa Yoga or Pilates and the most beautiful brunch. Before our evening Yin session, guests had ample free time to explore the local village, indulge in a massage, or simply soak up the sun.

Other highlights were a visit to a local winery – with million dollar views and silky Sangiovese – and an educational olive oil tasting, homegrown with lots of heart.

Every single guest celebrated the art of slowing down, with mindful mornings and less screen time. A special mention for the staff and the chef, and the meals we indulged in. Fresh, nourishing, colourful, abundant, delicious. We will be back, just to taste that olive oil again.

A Year to Remember

Across all three retreats, the thread was the same: nourishment for the body & mind, connection for the soul, and a well-earned glass of wine or cocktail because we deserve it. From wholesome meals to restorative movement, from laughter-filled dinners to quiet reflections, we witnessed the power of gathering women in spaces where they can truly rest, connect, and reset.

Each retreat was about slowing down, connecting deeply, and remembering what it feels like to care for yourself fully.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us this year – it wouldn’t have been the same without you. And if you’re dreaming of your own retreat, stay tuned: we have even more beautiful journeys on the horizon.
