With a dry and pleasant climate, Namibia can be visited year-round. The country sees a lot less rainfall than the countries to the east of Africa.
Low season, from December to March, sees humid days with some localised showers to follow and perhaps an afternoon thunderstorm. Especially from November to February, the temperatures can get really hot and wildlife spotting becomes more difficult. All parks are very quiet.
Although the best weather conditions are during April and May, wildlife viewing in all parks is best during the dry season from June to October. Temperatures will drop at night and in the mornings, so make sure to pack some warmer winter clothes (June, July, August) for morning wildlife viewing.
