Take your yoga students on a soulful journey and experience a superb safari in Namibia’s greatest wildlife sanctuary. Spend time with and learn about rehabilitated animals whilst teaching daily yoga and meditation classes. This unique yoga safari in Africa is all about immersing yourself in nature and connecting with local cultures and communities. Your accommodation for the yoga retreat is Etosha Village, an award winning ecologically-conscious establishment in the northern part of Namibia. Featuring three restaurant seating areas, a unique bar, 3 sparkling pools and a curio shop, the fact that you can see giraffe, zebra, springbok and kudu doesn’t mean you won’t receive stellar accommodation. The luxurious and spacious air-conditioned rooms feature modern ensuite bathrooms, shower, fridge, coffee, tea and electronic safe.
Start the week with a scenic drive from the airport to Etosha Village. After settling in, start your relaxing safari with a sunset yoga session followed by a welcoming ceremony and a delicious dinner under the African stars.
From there, your days begin and end with yoga or meditation and more mouth-watering healthy meals. You’ll alternate between downtime – relaxing in the pool, reading a book, wandering the nature trails – or being shown local fauna or flora by experienced guides, including visiting the Etosha National Park, a home to hundreds of species, including elephants, lions, cheetahs and wildebeest.
Along the way, your students can treat themselves to an African massage, gaze up at the stars, and take in the unique sound of local musicians.
