We have been organising yoga retreats in Victoria since 2018, and we are very grateful to have such a strong community of likeminded women. We are equally pumped that many of our regulars have become good friends – with each other and with us.

When you join one of our retreats you can expect friendly faces, lots of belly laughs and zero judgement if you prefer to sleep in instead of joining a morning yoga class. This is entirely YOUR getaway, and as much as we love having you participate in all classes and activities, we totally understand if you need a little bit more you-time.

At this very special UNPLUGGED VINO & VINYASA RETREAT, we will encourage you a little more to truly switch off. You don’t have to give up your phone if you don’t want to, but the option is there if you want us to keep it in a safe place so you can give your body and mind the full attention and relaxation they deserve. You are allowed to take this time for you, without any external or digital distractions from your daily life. Monday 7 February ’22

  • 2pm | Check in and welcome drinks/tour of the venue
  • 2.30-5pm | Free Time / Optional massage (add-on in booking form)
  • 5-6pm | Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra (deep rest)
  • 6.30pm | Pre-dinner drinks

Tuesday 8 February ’22

  • 7.30-9.30am | Healthy Breakfast
  • 9.30am | Pick-up and transport to Sutherland Estate Winery
  • 10-11am | All-levels vinyasa yoga class at the winery (indoor or outdoor, weather dependent)
  • 11.15am | Wine tasting at Sutherland Estate (option to purchase wine)
  • 12pm | Transport to Yarrawood Estate
  • 12.30pm | Grazing Style Lunch Platters + Wine tasting 
  • 2pm | Transport back to Cheeky Fox Retreat

YOGA RETREAT VENUE

With a stunning view that you won’t ever forget, 50 acres of private land and bush tracks, lots of greenery, a pool, private cinema, library den and converted Yoga & Meditation space, your home away from home will provide you with all the creature comforts. Furthermore, Cheeky Fox Retreat features 5 twin bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and enough space to retreat yourself to read, nap or chat with fellow guests.

PAINT & SIP

A life drawing class but not a nude model in sight!  This is a fun class where you’ll learn to draw the human form through an exploration of yoga poses whilst enjoying a cheeky (optional) vino. In this creative class, local Kinglake artist, Joanne McFadyen, will guide you in drawing various yoga poses. Postures will be held by your yoga teacher Sab and will range from from short holds (2 – 5 mins) through to more extended poses (5 – 20 mins).

The class begins with a short demonstration, where you’ll learn some basic drawing techniques.  You’ll then move onto your own experimentation, first using charcoal and progressing to ink, using a brush.

No previous drawing experience is required, Jo will guide you in the art of how to sketch. The class will also help you with your yoga practice, as you observe and draw each yoga pose. Fun guaranteed!

YOGA RETREAT HOST, INCLUSIONS & PRICING

Our founder, Sabijn Linssen (Sab), will look after you for the entire duration of your Yarra Valley yoga weekend. Sab was born and raised in The Netherlands and has a background in the travel and event industry. She is a fully qualified Vinyasa and Yin Yoga Instructor in Melbourne and is in the process of doing a Pilates Teacher Training too.

In addition, she has more than 1000 hours of teaching yoga under her belt and plenty of Anatomy and Mobility training. In her daily life she loves to eat healthy but can equally appreciate a delicious cheese platter and smooth Shiraz (or 3).

Her yoga retreats are down to earth, welcoming, fun, inclusive and open to women of all levels of fitness. In addition to creating a welcoming space for her guests, she equally loves to mingle with everyone and build a personal connection. She loves to teach classes that are a mix of playful movements and intelligently sequenced flows. You can expect both dynamic (all-levels) flows and restorative poses, with an emphasis on linking breath to movement.

Please note due to the nature of the retreat and the commitment we have towards suppliers, deposits are non-refundable. For payments made in full:

  • Cancellations made prior to 60+ days from the start of the retreat date : You will forfeit the deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 60 days from the start of the retreat date: No refunds or transfers are allowed.
  • Government Covid delays/lockdowns: you may transfer your spot or request a refund or credit to future retreat.
  • If you are unwell and are requesting a refund, please note a doctor’s certificate is required.

DO I HAVE TO UNPLUG ENTIRELY?

No, the decision to enjoy a Digital Detox Retreat is entirely up to you. If you do not want to hand in your phone/leave your phone at home, we totally understand. However, we know how addictive our little devices can be. We also know how much better our mind is able to fully recharge if we are not constantly online.
