RETREAT ITINERARY AND WHAT TO EXPECT

This boutique yoga retreat in Victoria is very much your getaway, just like any holiday would be. Of course we love it if our guests join all activities and yoga classes, but we fully understand it if people want to take some time just for them.

RETREAT ITINERARY

Friday 

Breakfast for Thursday night guests is at your own leisure. You will have plenty of time to explore Kinglake area, enjoy a long lie in or read a book in the library before the other guests arrive.

  • 1pm | Arrival and Welcome all guests (lunch on arrival is not included)
  • 1-5pm | Time for You: Get to know other guests over a cuppa by the fire, go for a walk, have a nap, watch a movie in the private cinema or retreat yourself in the yoga & meditation space. This is your time to relax.
  • 5pm | Restorative Yin Class
  • 6.30pm | Vegetarian feasting table (incl. cheeses!) with a glass of red wine or guided wine-tasting for the November retreat.

Saturday 

  • 7.45am | Slow Vinyasa Yoga Flow (All-levels)
  • 9.15am | Nourishing Breakfast
  • 10.15am | Time for you
  • 1pm | Healthy lunch prepared by on-site chefs
  • 2.30pm | Guided wine-tasting by the fire, hosted by one of the many local wineries (June retreat only, the wine tasting for our November retreat might be on the Friday night instead)
  • 4.30pm | Yoga Nidra (meditation and deep rest with gentle movements at the end to ‘wake us up’ for our dinner!)
  • 6.30pm | Three course dinner paired with matching wines

Sunday 

  • 8am | Slow Vinyasa Yoga Flow (All-levels)
  • 9.30am | Nourishing Breakfast
  • 11am | Check-out

OUR YARRA VALLEY RETREAT VENUE

Cheeky Fox Retreat sits on 50 private acres with spectacular views over the Ranges. There are 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a yoga and meditation space, private cinema, a cosy wood burner, lush grounds, and plenty of private bush tracks for you to explore.

We’ve been lucky enough to retreat here many times and we LOVE IT so much that we keep coming back.

TRAVELING SOLO?

We love solo travellers!

Most retreats have a 50/50 mix of solo guests and friends who travel together. If you are joining alone we will pair you up with another female solo guest to share a twin room. We will also introduce you to each other prior to the retreat so you can get to know each other a little better beforehand. From the moment you walk in we’ll make you feel at home. We’ll promise friendly faces and easygoing conversations.

Also, we don’t do ‘opening circles’ and we prefer it if our guests get to know each other organically – over a cuppa or glass of bubbles.

YOGA INSTRUCTOR AND HOST

Your host for the weekend and yoga instructor is Sabijn Linssen (Sab).

Originally from The Netherlands, Sab has lived in Melbourne with her husband since 2012. She worked in the travel and event industry for more than 15 years and traded the corporate world for a life in the wellness (and wine..) industry. Her passion is to help connect like-minded women in real life and she’s been creating and hosting Yoga and Wine Retreats since 2017. She is the founder of Retreat Here, and a massive advocate of a balanced lifestyle.

As a qualified 200-hr Vinyasa yoga instructor with a strong yoga practice for over 14 years, she will give adjustments and variations to all levels. With over 1000+ teaching hours, her classes are a mix of creative flows and moving meditations.

She has also completed a 60-hr Yin teacher training, a 20-hr Yoga for Anatomy training and a Pilates Teacher Training with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Deposits are non-refundable (except in case of a government imposed lockdown).

  • Cancellations made 60 days prior to the retreat: You will forfeit the deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 59 days of the retreat: No refunds or transfers are allowed.
  • Covid lockdowns: you may transfer your spot or request a refund.
  • We highly recommend you book TRAVEL INSURANCE that covers you for Covid-19 prior to attending your retreat.
